Summer Taiko Intensive 2018 Youth Scholarship!

Taiko Arts Center is proud to sponsor FOUR Youth Scholarships for Sho’on Shibata’s Double Beta-Uchi course for the Taiko Center of the Pacific’s 2018 Summer Taiko Intensive. These scholarship were made possible thanks to the generous support of the Dr. Ric Fund for Education, Arts and Culture of the Hawai’i Community Foundation!

The Taiko Drum and Dance: Hana Hou! – “Pacific” and “Ripples in Space” Project

Taiko Arts Center is proud to be a recipient of a 2017 Honolulu Mayor’s Office of Culture and the Arts Production Grant. The “Pacific” and “Ripples in Space” project brings together composer Kenny Endo and dance choreographers Noenoelani Zuttermeister and Peiling Kao. The new compositions will be premiered in Fall 2017 at the University of Hawaii’s Department of Theatre and Dance’s “Taiko Drum and Dance: Hana Hou!” performances at the newly renovated Kennedy Theatre.
