JOIN US in Preserving the Art of Taiko!

Taiko Arts Center, a 501c3 non-profit organization, promotes and fosters an appreciation of Taiko and its related arts through preservation, education, collaboration, and innovation. TAC adopts and supports the vision of Kenny Endo sensei that tradition is the basis of innovation and that taiko bridges culture and promotes peace.

Created in 2002, Taiko Arts Center (TAC) has produced numerous projects including: Educational Outreach Programs for schools, libraries, community centers, and correctional facilities; a Taiko Scholarship Program; and Special Workshops with renown artists and taiko practitioners. TAC believes that collaborations with different arts and cultures helps promote understanding and world peace. TAC has organized collaborations combining taiko with jazz, Bharatanatyam (South Indian Classical Dance), Sabar (West African Drumming), Tabla and Afro-Carribbean drumming, and the University of Hawaii’s Department of Theatre and Dance. The youth are our future and TAC has supported the “Next Generation of Taiko Artists” project and a youth performance and workshop exchange to Japan.

The world-wide covid-19 pandemic has challenged all of us in many ways. The arts community is always the first to go and the last to be reincorporated. To preserve the art and culture of taiko for future generations to enjoy and be proud of, please consider making a donation to Taiko Arts Center today. Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Online donations may be made at:
